Welcome to Loadscreen.net, a new website dedicated to gaming culture.
In the coming weeks, you will be able to read news articles, reviews, features and editorials by our team of writers, as well as watch down-to-earth, entertaining video blogs designed to bring you closer to the games we discuss.
Our mandate is to give an honest and detailed account of the games we all play. No hype. No nonsense. No fanboyism. It is our belief that games are complex pieces of entertainment that have both artistic and functional demands that need to be met. That is what we will review on: how a game looks, sounds, feels and, of course, works.
Loadscreen.net thinks you want to know about the little things, like hit-detection, input-lag, shader-work, FPS, level-design, animation, net-code stability and much more. Not just how much fun our reviewers had with the game. Game reviews are too often subjective hyperbole, that tell you nothing more than a blurb. Ever read a review that is full of comments like ‘…changes the way FPS games are played,’ or ‘…never has blowing stuff up been so much fun!’ – we bet you have. But you won’t find it here.
So stay tuned and let us know if you like what you see.
